Looking back at your Preliminary task, what do you feel you have learnt in the progression from it to the full product?

Digital technology.

In my primarily task i was pretty good with using the technology as i have use the same equipment many times before. It was very easy to set up as we had enough space and  we didn't waste any time filming  we was able to use the camera to its full usability as we knew what buttons did watch. Me and my partner was also comfortable with each other cameras skills so we didn't have to keep asking each other which button did what. We also edited our preliminary task on mac's using the software i movie. We was very familiar with i movie has i had use it before , but remembering what all the icons done was pretty tricky , i soon got the hand of it and was able to cut the the film which made the film look much more smoother and made it flow better. However it took up a lot of time editing the shots as i kept having to redo the cutting of the shot as the pace of the production was not flowing correctly. The only disadvantage was the spacing we had to do all the shots, for example when we wanted a two person shot it was very hard to place the camera into the correct position. When it came to the real task it was much more easier to use the editing software however i found it hard to use the camera as i forgot what all the buttons done.

Creativity.

in my primarily task i tried to make it as creative as possible as we didn't have a restricted brief, we was able to had a very serious side as my main character was trying to stop the enemy from trying to kill him , however we was able to add a comedy side by having the boss do all the dancing. However in our main production we had to stick to having a british social realism theme , most british social realism. films are very realistic and plan and not very creativity , British social realism films catch aspects of every day life but show them at the most extreme points. However was able to use more creativity in our british social realism as we wasn't limited to one location , in my primarily task we was only  had one location which was the school however when we made our main production we was able to use more then once location .E.g Alley-way , Partners house. We was also able to add more character into our story line which made our production much more creative as it gave different aspects to the story line. you would be able to see different characters lives and how they live.

Post production.

In our post production there where three simple rules that we had to keep. The one was the rule of thirds. The rule of thirds was a easy one to keep as we knew we had to put it into our production , however when it came to the main production i had complete forgot about the rule , also it was easier to keep the rule of thirds because their was more space for the camera and the spacing wasn't narrow unlike the main production. We also had to add match on action , this was very hard to do in the preliminary task as i hadn't had much practice doing these types of shots , however when it came to the main task it was easy to add this type of shot into my production because i had learned how to do it in my preliminary task. when editing my work i was able to look back at the work and pick out which shot was which , i checked each shot more then once so we knew that all the shots where there. Also i was much better at editing when it came to the real production has i had help when i done my preliminary task , this made the editing much quicker and smoother then it would of been if i didn't do the preliminary task.

Research and planing.

When we done our preliminary production we was successful with out planing . Me and my partner drew up a detail plan on what shots we want and how we want them look like. we planned the story line together so both our ideas where implemented into our work. When we was in production we could easily look at our storyboard and know what shorts where done and which shots we still needed to do. We also both understood what shots we needed to put into our work as we had look on Google and research what the shots where. The biggest mistake me and my partner made was no having actors in our work , we unfortunately use our self in the production which made it hard for us to know if the camera was in the correct place whilst in production. i didn't make the same mistake whilst we produce the main production as i asked other people to be actors for my film

How does your media product represent particular social group?

Here we have a screenshot of a posher which was in my media opening scene. This is what kids in east London all want to be driving. They want to be in the best cars with a lot of cash and women. However they don't want to work hard for such items. They would rather sell drugs on corners and rob people then get a good educations and get a good job. They main reason is they are lazy. Most stereotypes of teenagers is they are lazy and are not good to society. This is because they have been influenced by music which shows rappers gaining money and fancy cars by selling drugs and robbing people on the street. Most teenagers aged 16-24 listen to such music and relate so they get influenced by what the rappers are saying and copy what they do. My audience would listen to grime rappers which is a undercover seen in which rappers talk about how they struggles through life in the UK  Also other movies such as Kidulthood can also influence teenagers to commit crimes in order to gain fancy things such as cars.

Here we denote a police car going into a police headquarters  Most teenagers aged 16-24 have hatred towards the police as they feel they bully them on the streets. Also older teenagers who have been in trouble with the police before normally tell their young sibling that the police are 'pig' and you should never trust them. This is because teenagers are doing crimes in which police try to stop them , this makes the teenagers hate them because the teenagers are just trying to make money , but the police see the teenagers as a threat to society as they are breaking the law and the police are just trying to their job. Teenagers don't see the dangers in crime they listen to rappers talk about drugs and glamorous crime so the teenagers are influenced in doing so. Also a lot of rappers have been to jail so they also say bad things about the police which teenagers listen to and because they can relate to some of the things the rapper says they think they can relate to everything they say. By having the police car in the middle of the shot it gives all the attention to the police.

In this shot we can see a lot of cars going back and fourth. This show that the location the main character is living in is a busy environment. Also all the cars that are going pass are all average cars which working class people would drive in . Also the building look very dirty which makes the target audience think that the main character is living in a rough location. Also in the background we can see that the trees have no leafs on them , this gives the target a sense of what time in the season the film is taking place. They are able to see that the sky is looking very dime which is a stereotype of the english weather. We can also see the Tesco sign in the background this also sets the scene as Tesco is only in the UK , it is not a national business so the target audience can relate to the movie if they have ever been in Tesco or shopped there.

In this shot we see a black male who looks aged 15-18. His wearing a black Hood with a body warmer and jeans. None of his clothes are branded which denotes that the main character is living in poverty as he can't afford to wear big name brands such as Gucci . Armani or Ralph Lauren. Most teenagers cannot get a job in the united kingdom as their are not enough placements , so they are living in poverty. They can't afford to wear different types of clothes every day so their clothes look very dirty and scruffy. We can also see that his hood is up so its harder to see his face , most teenagers where hoods so people can't see their face when they are going to commit a crime. The location is set in a ally-way which looks very rough and unclean. We can see on the lamppost that some of the paint as come of and on the walls the bricks look very dirty. we also tried our hardest to keep the rule of thirds as in  our feedback we got a lot of negative responses about not using the rule of thirds.

Here we can see two other teenage boys approach our main character , they are wanting to take the main characters valuables. This stereotype of teenagers in east London is very common because most teenagers are brought up in working class family's and are living in poverty. We see these theme in such movies as kidulthood and adulthood which have gained great success around the united kingdom so we used these theme in our opening scene to gain the biggest audience possible. Also you see a character in a big puffy coat. Most people are up on the streets till late so they wear a  lot of layers to keep them warm. The two character which chase after the main character are drug dealers , you see a lot of drug dealer around in east London which are on the corners trying to sell drugs. So if you leave in east London you may know a drug dealer so you can relate to the film.

Here we have a picture of a bus stop. The main audience we are appealing to are aged around 16-24 so they wouldn't be driving , so to get around most of our audience would be using buses. So a large percent of our audience have been on a bus in their lifetime , so it makes the film seem more realistic rather then seeing people in big cars as our target audience would not be able to afford cars early on in their life's  This shot also sets the location for the audience as they know where the bus is heading to as Romford is one of the big town in the local area , so a lot of people can relate as they have either been to Romford of hear of Romford.

In this screen shot we see our main character with his hands in his head. Most teenagers in east London are not very happy , they go through hard times which makes them depress and miserable. Most stereotypes of teenagers are that they are grumpy and always not grateful for what they have got. Here we have broke the rule of thirds as the main character eyes are 2/3 down the shot rather then only being 1/3 down the screen. we have much feedback from our peers saying that we needed to resolve this issue however we was unable to. Also the door which is behind our character looks very grimy and dirty , some of the paint is coming off where people have been opening the locks. This is a represents most teenagers aged between 16-24 because they haven't been brought up in rich family's where they can afford grand doors they live with the bare minimum.

This screen shot shows the title to our film. We choose a very simple and easy to remember title. This title represents young teenagers as they don't plan ahead , they would rather gain money fast and live a short life rather then earn slow money and live a longer life. Also it shows that teenagers are very selfish as they don't care about others , they don't see the consequences which occur when they commit their crimes as long has they don't gain a negative impact they are happy to commit a crime. We use a white bold typography as it stand out with the black background , the shadow of fast life is red with denotes the blood in which teenagers get into violence and make each other bleed. Also the black background represent teenagers as they normally wear all back outfits so they are unable to be recognized by people when they are committing crimes. Also teenagers are out late so their is not a lot of witness when they commit the crimes , the black background also connotes the danger of being out late at night in east London.

In this screen shot we have a image of a empty fridge. This connotes that the main character is living in poverty and is unable to eat a healthy meal before he goes to sleep. This common in east London as their is not a lot of jobs for teenagers to do , and  single parents living on befits don't have a lot of money to live on. By showing this shot in our movie some teenagers may be able to relate to this shot and feel the same emotions that our main character is going through , this give the audience a bigger interest into our movie as they want to see how they approach living in such poverty.
