Film 4 ideology

Film 4 is a movie production company which makes movies which are not for the mainstream. They produce Gritty and grimy movies which will only appeal to a small audience . Film 4 target audience are mostly based in the UK , as they use English slang and events which happen in the UK a lot. Film 4 don't have a big budget to spend a lot on movies , so they normal have small time actors as their main characters throughout their movies. there goal is to spend around £500,000 a year on 20 different movies. Film 4 have pride in having a platform for people to show their acting talents and producing quality's. they try to developer new British talent and be leaders of innovation,in the British film industry. Film 4 also invest into national independent movie makers , to help them with financial backing.

Four lions

A group of radicalised young Muslim English men aspire to be suicide bombers.  they are deeply influenced by western society  and imperialism. they go to a terrorist training camp in Pakistan where they realise that their not made for war , so they use the experience they gained and  go back to Britain. This movie has a lot of dark comedy which only appeals to the British audience . the actors in the film have a very strong accent so people from out of Britain may not be able to understand them. There ain't a lot of special effects in this movies because of film 4 budget. film 4 have portrayed Muslims to look like terrorist in this movie so its a very risky movie to produce and distributed, this movie would not be produce for the mainstream.

Attack of the block

A group of boys that live in a big block of flats have come across a species that doesn't belong to earth. They have to fight for the life's in order to stay alive.Most the characters in this film are young and are not famous actors . The main characters use a lot of slang terms which is used in modern day language for youngsters in Britain. If say a person from America watched the film they may not be able to understand the movie. The film also shows how teenagers are being left alone and having to survive by them self on the gritty roads of London , its shows the harsh relates of some teenagers life's. it has a lot of violence and use of weapons which in mainstream movies is not related back with kids unlike this film which is produce by film 4

The Inbetweeners 

This movie is about a bunch of teenage boys leaving school and having a good time .They are constantly under stressful situation and have to struggle there way out of them . There is a lot of English slang which is used throughout the movie such as minge and pussy , both words describe a lady's vagina. This movie is something different from other movies and is not all grimy and gritty, The boys are actually happy and don't have many problems in their life's. This movie shows the audience the things teenagers boys get up to on a realistic and comedy level. The actors are also not very famous , but they do come from the series 'The inbetweeners'. in which they are well known for their sexual jokes.
